Last week's Cue-Up generated more discussion about the use of small format film footage in video. This seems to be a continuation of the excitement around the "wildly successful" 2nd Annual Super8 Film Festival that was produced by Project 8 on June 29th at VIVO. In fact one of last week's volunteers and participants, Tiina Liimu, was a Project 8 participant. She showed the film-based video that emerged from her Project8 involvement.
The music video, Forget About It, that was screened by Will, included some found film footage. By the way the band featured in Forget About It is The Elixxxirs .

From our discussions, I promised to post a link to Kevin Scromeda of Bright Light Transfers ("specializing in small format film and analogue transfers"). I have found his transfers to be of very high quality and affordable price. He can be reached through email: brightlight(at)telus.net
